Start of the Project: Laying the Foundation for Excellence

This section details KNR’s role in Petoil’s sustainable waste management project, spanning the years 2016-2018. Our services focused on responsible solutions for cutting treatment (handling drilling waste), sewage water disposal, and HDPE liner disposal, contributing to Petoil’s commitment to environmentally friendly operations.

The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.

  • Detailed Project Planning & Needs Assessment: KNR collaborated with Petoil to understand the specific types and volumes of drilling waste generated at their well sites. We also evaluated the characteristics of their sewage water and the disposal needs for used HDPE liners employed in various applications. Based on this information, KNR developed a comprehensive project plan outlining the specific methodologies for cutting treatment, sewage water disposal, and responsible HDPE liner disposal.
  • Resource Procurement & Mobilization: KNR procured the necessary equipment and resources for each waste management area. This may have involved acquiring specialized cutting equipment for processing drilling waste, mobile or modular sewage treatment plants, and designated transportation and disposal facilities for spent HDPE liners.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Permitting: KNR ensured all waste management operations adhered to relevant environmental regulations. This included obtaining permits for handling and processing drilling waste, operating or utilizing sewage treatment systems, and transporting and disposing of used HDPE liners in accordance with environmental regulations.

During the Project: Building With Quality and Safety at the Forefront

With a comprehensive plan and secured resources, KNR meticulously executed the waste management services throughout the project duration.

The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.

  • Safe & Effective Cutting Treatment: KNR implemented safe and efficient cutting treatment processes to manage Petoil’s drilling waste. This may have involved techniques like solidification, separation, or thermal desorption, depending on the specific waste composition and environmental requirements.
  • Sewage Water Treatment & Disposal: KNR deployed mobile or modular sewage treatment plants to effectively treat Petoil’s wastewater, removing contaminants and ensuring compliance with discharge regulations.
  • Responsible HDPE Liner Disposal: KNR established processes for the responsible disposal of used HDPE liners. This may have involved recycling facilities equipped to handle this specific type of plastic waste or designated landfills authorized to accept these materials in accordance with environmental regulations.

Finalizing the Project: A Smooth Handover and Ongoing Support

The final stage focused on ensuring proper documentation and offering ongoing support for Petoil’s sustainable waste management practices.

The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.

  • Waste Disposal Records & Documentation: KNR maintained detailed records of all waste disposal activities throughout the project. This may have included documentation of the types and quantities of drilling waste processed, the treatment methods employed, and the disposal certificates for treated wastewater and spent HDPE liners.
  • Handover & Knowledge Transfer: KNR provided Petoil with comprehensive documentation outlining the implemented waste management procedures and best practices. We may have also conducted training sessions on waste segregation and responsible disposal practices for Petoil personnel.
  • Ongoing Support & Regulatory Updates: KNR offered Petoil ongoing support, including updates on evolving environmental regulations and potential advancements in waste management technologies that could further enhance their sustainability efforts.
