Start of the Project: Laying the Foundation for Excellence
This section details KNR’s comprehensive scope of work for the Early Production Facility (EPF) Project undertaken for Gas Plus Khalakan between 2017 and 2018. Our focus was on delivering the complete civil construction works required for the successful operation of the EPF unit.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Detailed Engineering & Planning: KNR engineers collaborated with Gas Plus Khalakan to develop a detailed engineering plan for the civil construction works. This plan considered factors like site layout, foundation requirements for various EPF components, and integration with existing or planned facilities.
- Material Procurement & Resource Mobilization: KNR procured high-quality construction materials like concrete, steel, precast elements, and fencing materials. Additionally, we mobilized the necessary skilled workforce and construction equipment to execute the project tasks efficiently.
- Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: KNR obtained all necessary permits and approvals from local authorities before commencing construction activities. We ensured strict adherence to all relevant building codes and safety regulations throughout the project.

During the Project: Building With Quality and Safety at the Forefront
With a comprehensive plan and secured resources, KNR’s skilled workforce meticulously executed the various civil construction works for the EPF project.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
Civil Construction Works: KNR’s team constructed critical elements for the EPF, including:
- Tank Foundations: Sturdy foundations to support the safe storage of oil and other liquids within designated tanks.
- Flare Stack & Guy Wires: Construction of a flare stack for safe disposal of excess gas and installation of supporting guy wires for stability.
- Loading Area & Water Pond: Development of a designated loading area for efficient material handling and a water pond for potential process or utility needs.
- Leveling & Gatching: Precise leveling of the construction site and creation of gatch lines (ditches) to manage water drainage and prevent flooding.
Precast Construction & Installation: KNR manufactured and installed precast concrete elements for cable and pipe support structures, offering a time-efficient and durable solution.
Additional Facilities: Construction of a BRC fence to secure the EPF perimeter and a septic tank for proper wastewater management.

Finalizing the Project: A Smooth Handover and Ongoing Support
The final stage focused on ensuring a smooth handover of the completed EPF civil works to Gas Plus Khalakan and providing any necessary support after project completion.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Project Handover & Documentation: Upon completion, KNR provided Gas Plus Khalakan with comprehensive handover documentation. This may have included detailed construction drawings, as-built drawings reflecting any field modifications, inspection reports, and material quality control test results.
- Site Clean-Up & Restoration: KNR ensured proper clean-up of the construction site and implemented any necessary restoration measures, such as waste removal or soil stabilization.
- Ongoing Support & Collaboration: Beyond project handover, KNR remained available to address any questions or concerns Gas Plus Khalakan may have regarding the civil construction works and offer post-construction support if needed.
