Start of the Project: Laying the Foundation for Excellence
This section details KNR’s comprehensive scope of work for transporting general oilfield equipment to Parker Drilling’s Qaradagh site, located in Erbil, Iraq. Our services ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of equipment, supporting Parker Drilling’s operations at the site.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Equipment Identification & Readiness: KNR collaborates with Parker Drilling to identify the specific oilfield equipment requiring transportation to the Qaradagh site. We then conduct thorough inspections of the equipment to ensure its readiness for transport. This may involve checking for leaks, damage, and proper functionality of all components.
- Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: KNR obtains all necessary permits and approvals from local authorities before transporting the equipment. This may include permits for oversized or heavy cargo transportation on designated routes, adhering to weight restrictions, and following environmental regulations.

During the Project: Building With Quality and Safety at the Forefront
With a clear understanding of the equipment and secured permits, KNR executes the transportation phase, prioritizing safety and adherence to schedules.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Transportation Logistics & Planning: KNR arranges the most suitable transportation logistics for the specific equipment being transported. This may involve utilizing various trucks, trailers, or specialized flatbeds to accommodate the cargo dimensions and weight. We also develop a detailed transportation plan outlining the chosen route, timeline, and safety protocols.
- Safe Loading & Securing: KNR’s experienced personnel employ specialized techniques for the safe loading and securing of the equipment onto the designated transportation vehicles at the pick-up point in Erbil. This may involve using cranes, forklifts, winches, and specialized rigging equipment to ensure stability and prevent damage during transit.
- Monitoring & Communication: Throughout the transportation journey, KNR closely monitors the movement of the cargo, maintaining real-time communication with drivers. We ensure adherence to planned schedules and safety regulations, addressing any unforeseen circumstances that may arise.

Finalizing the Project: A Smooth Handover and Ongoing Support
The final stage focuses on the successful delivery of the equipment at the Qaradagh site, safe unloading, and final equipment inspections to verify its condition.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Arrival Coordination & Unloading: KNR coordinates with Parker Drilling personnel upon arrival at the Qaradagh site to ensure a smooth and efficient unloading process. This may involve utilizing cranes or other lifting equipment for safe offloading of the equipment.
- Safe & Efficient Unloading: KNR prioritizes safety during the unloading process, ensuring the equipment is carefully offloaded at the designated location within the Qaradagh site.
- Final Inspections & Handover: Upon delivery, KNR conducts final inspections of the equipment to confirm its integrity and identify any potential damage that may have occurred during transport. Any discrepancies are documented and reported to Parker Drilling. After successful delivery and final inspections, KNR provides Parker Drilling with comprehensive handover documentation, including transportation logs, inspection reports, and delivery receipts.
