Start of the Project: Laying the Foundation for Excellence
This section details KNR’s scope of work for the Main Camp Electrical Works undertaken for Pearl Petroleum’s Crescent – Dana Gas project, completed between 2022 and 2023. Our focus was on delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient electrical infrastructure for the project’s main camp facilities.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Detailed Engineering & Design: KNR engineers collaborated with Pearl Petroleum to develop a comprehensive electrical system design for the main camp. This plan considered factors like power requirements, equipment specifications, and integration with existing or planned utilities.
- Material Procurement & Quality Control: KNR procured high-quality electrical components, cables, and equipment required for the project. Stringent quality control measures ensured all materials met project specifications and adhered to the latest safety standards.
- Permitting & Regulatory Compliance: KNR obtained all necessary permits and approvals from local authorities before commencing any electrical work. We ensured strict compliance with all relevant electrical codes and safety regulations throughout the project.

During the Project: Building With Quality and Safety at the Forefront
With a comprehensive plan in place and materials secured, KNR’s skilled electricians meticulously installed and tested the various electrical systems for the main camp.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Earthing System Installation & Commissioning: A robust earthing system was installed to provide proper grounding for all electrical equipment and ensure personnel safety. KNR then rigorously commissioned the earthing system to verify its effectiveness.
- Lighting Protection System Installation: A comprehensive lightning protection system was installed to safeguard the main camp facilities and equipment from potential lightning strikes. This may have involved air terminals, conductors, and earthing electrodes.
- Outdoor Lighting System Installation & Testing: KNR designed and installed a functional and energy-efficient outdoor lighting system for the main camp. This system ensured proper illumination for walkways, pathways, and security purposes. Rigorous testing ensured all lighting fixtures functioned correctly.
- Synchronization System Installation (if applicable): In case the main camp relied on multiple power sources, KNR may have installed and commissioned a synchronization system. This system ensured the generators or other power sources operated in harmony, preventing damage and maintaining stable power supply.

Finalizing the Project: A Smooth Handover and Ongoing Support
The final stage focused on ensuring a smooth handover of the electrical system to Pearl Petroleum and offering ongoing support, if needed.
The project’s success begins with a solid foundation.
- Project Handover & Documentation: Upon completion, KNR provided Pearl Petroleum with comprehensive handover documentation. This included detailed electrical system schematics, as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals for installed equipment, and test reports for all commissioned systems.
- System Training (if applicable): Depending on the project’s complexity, KNR may have offered training sessions for Pearl Petroleum personnel on operating and maintaining the installed electrical systems.
- Ongoing Support & Collaboration: Our commitment to Pearl Petroleum extended beyond project completion. KNR remained available to offer post-installation support, addressing any questions or concerns regarding the electrical system and providing troubleshooting assistance if needed.
